EdCamp is a conference-style event with a LOT of twists!

1. EdCamp is FREE!  Completely FREE!  This will likely include LOTS of food.  Be sure to stay to the end for the ridiculous number of prizes we will be raffling off (including a Chromebook)!!  

2. There are no sessions set up for EdCamp until the day of!  Come with ideas of what you’d like to discuss.  We will fill in a “board” (ours is electronic) the morning of EdCamp as we have breakfast.  This board will be a chart of the sessions throughout the day.  So, if you’re hoping to learn more about games in the classroom, you could add “games in the classroom” to our board.  It will fill a session slot.  After the board is created, you’ll want to consider which sessions you are most interested in.  

3. There are NO presenters.  You won’t be sitting as a spectator and watching someone’s PowerPoint.  There won’t be salespeople trying to get you to buy the latest and greatest technology tools when all you really wanted was a free pen.  EdCamp is all discussion based.  Hopefully the person who suggested the topic will step up as a leader and lead the discussion.  Attendees will talk about things that already work in their classrooms and challenge each other with questions to push the idea forward.    

4. Don’t have a session you really care about during one of the times?  Come check out our “Playground!”  There will be technology tools available to play with and learn about.
